How it Works - 7 Weeks

Before we begin
You complete the pre-work questionnaire. We review your answers, note questions, confirm all content is in hand, and hold a strategy call to align before anything is built.

Homepage sample
We select two theme options, design a homepage sample in-theme, and send you a Loom walkthrough on Wednesday. Thursday we talk through it. By Friday, the homepage is complete.

Full design
Sample approval by EOD Monday. We complete the full homepage, product page, and mobile — all pages designed and reviewed. Loom sent Friday.

Design approval
Monday call to review. You have up to 2 rounds to get to approval. We hold calls wherever needed this week. Approval confirmed by Friday before development begins.

Development
We build the store on your chosen theme. End of week 5, you receive a Loom walkthrough and preview link — your first look at the live store.

Refinements
Monday call to discuss the preview. Two revision rounds to get everything exactly right. Final approval by Friday.
7
Handover
We complete any outstanding items, record walkthrough tutorials, hand over the store, and kick off your 30-day support window.

Large catalogs, complex functionality, or brands that need full creative direction alongside the build. If the other two packages feel too small, this is yours.

Copywriting Included

Yes — copywriting is included in your project. Before we write a word, we'll send you a detailed brand questionnaire covering your story, your audience, your product, and your voice. The better your answers, the better the copy. We write everything from homepage headlines to product descriptions, so you're not staring at a blank page wondering what to say. What we need from you is clarity on your brand — the words are our job.

30-day support period

After handover, you get 30 days of support for questions, small fixes, and anything that comes up as you settle into running your store. It's not a retainer — we're not building new features or redesigning pages. It's a safety net for the inevitable "wait, how do I do this?" moments that come with learning a new store. After 30 days, we offer ongoing support through The Radically Made Team retainer or on a project basis.

Payment Plans

Our standard payment terms are 50% upfront to book your start date, 25% due one week before the project begins, and 25% due at project completion due date. All payments are non-refundable.

Post Project Support

A lot of our Shopify clients move into The Radically Made Team retainer after launch — it's the most natural next step if you want ongoing support, email marketing, and a creative partner who already knows your brand. We also take on smaller Shopify projects from past clients on a case-by-case basis.

Timeline Flexibility

Most overruns happen on the client side — delayed content, slow feedback, or scope additions mid-project. If that's the case, we'll flag it early and adjust the timeline accordingly. If something on our end causes a delay, we'll communicate it immediately and make it right. The 7-week timeline is built with buffer, but it's not infinitely flexible — we have other clients with booked start dates.

Client Availability

You need to be responsive, not available around the clock. The project has clear checkpoints where your input is required — the strategy call, design reviews, development preview, and final approval. Outside of those, we handle it. What kills timelines is slow feedback, not unavailable founders. If you know you have a busy period coming up, tell us before we book your start date.
FAQ
Do I need to already be on Shopify?

Not necessarily — but we only build on Shopify. If you're on another platform and considering a migration, we can talk through whether it makes sense for your business. If you're pre-launch and deciding where to start, Shopify is almost always the right call for a product-based brand in your revenue range.

What do I need to have ready before we start?

A lot more than most people expect. Before your project kicks off, you'll need: finalized brand assets (logo files, fonts, color palette), product photography, and a clear sense of your product catalog and collections. We'll send you a detailed pre-work checklist after you're booked, and we hold a prep call the week before we begin to make sure everything is in order. If your content isn't ready, your start date moves — that's not a threat, it's just how good work gets made.

Do you design in Figma first?

No. We work directly in Shopify themes, not Figma. This means what you see during the review process is the actual store — not a mockup that then has to be rebuilt. It's a faster, more accurate process, and it means fewer surprises at launch.

How do you choose which theme to use?

We research and present two theme options based on your brand, your catalog structure, your budget, and the functionality you need. We don't have a house theme we push everyone onto — the right theme depends on your specific business. Theme cost is separate from our project fee and typically ranges from free to around $400.

What pages are included?

It depends on the package. The full build project includes homepage, product page, collection page, about, and contact as standard. Additional pages — FAQs, size guides, custom landing pages, press pages, wholesale pages — are scoped based on your project tier. If you have a page you're not sure about, ask during the inquiry process and we'll tell you whether it's in or needs to be added.
