Got Questions?

We’re ready to respond to your doubts.
What exactly is the Klaviyo Starter Kit?

It's a complete Klaviyo setup — built from scratch, configured correctly, and handed over ready to run. By the end of the project you'll have a fully functioning email marketing system: your account set up, your core automation flows live, branded templates built, and a list strategy in place. It's everything you need to start making money from email, done once and done right.

Do I need to already have a Klaviyo account?

No. If you don't have one, we'll set it up for you. If you do, we'll audit what's there, clean up anything that needs fixing, and build on top of it properly. Either way, you end up with an account that's configured for deliverability, growth, and long-term performance — not just plugged in and hoped for the best.

What flows are included?

We create the five essential flows every product-based brand needs: the Welcome series introduces your brand and encourages the first purchase; the Abandoned cart flow recovers lost revenue at the perfect moment; the Post-purchase flow turns one-time buyers into loyal customers; the Browse abandonment flow re-engages visitors who didn't add to cart; the Winback flow brings back lapsed customers before they're gone for good. These flows are not just templates; they are crafted, designed, and tailored specifically for your brand.

Do you write the emails?

Yes. Copywriting is included. We write every email in every flow in your brand voice — which is why the kickoff questionnaire matters. The more clearly you can articulate how your brand sounds and who you're talking to, the sharper the copy will be. If you have existing copy you love, share it. If you're starting from scratch, we've got it.

Do you design the emails too?

Yes. Every flow includes branded email templates designed to match your visual identity and optimized for mobile. You'll also receive reusable templates after handover so your team can send campaigns without starting from zero every time.

What do I need to have ready before we start?

Brand assets — logo files, fonts, color palette, and any existing brand guidelines. We also need access to your Shopify store and your Klaviyo account if you have one. The kickoff questionnaire covers everything else. Come to that call knowing your audience, your tone, and what you want email to do for your business.

What is The Campaign Retainer?

It's done-for-you email marketing, every month. We write the copy, design the emails, schedule them, and send them — you stay out of the weeds entirely. Four campaigns per month, written in your brand voice, designed to your visual identity, and deployed on a strategic calendar. No more staring at a blank Klaviyo dashboard wondering what to send.

What counts as a campaign?

A campaign is a one-time broadcast email sent to your list or a segment of it — a product launch, a promotion, a brand story, a seasonal push, a community update. Four per month is typically one per week, though we'll plan the calendar around your business rhythm, not an arbitrary schedule.

Do you write the emails or do I?

We write everything. Copywriting aligned to your brand voice is included in every retainer. Before month one begins we'll do a deep brand voice intake — how you sound, who you're talking to, what you never say. After that, you review and approve. You don't write a word unless you want to.

How does the design work?

Every campaign is custom designed — no generic templates dropped in with your logo slapped on top. We build emails that look like your brand and perform in the inbox. Mobile-optimized, tested before send, and visually consistent with everything else you're putting out in the world.

What does the monthly performance summary include?

A clear breakdown of what went out, how it performed, and what we're taking from it going forward. Open rates, click rates, revenue attributed, and any notable trends. No jargon, no vanity metrics, no ten-page reports that say nothing. Just what matters and what we're doing about it next month.

How much of my time does this actually require?

Not much — but not zero. We need your approval on campaigns before they go out, which means responding to reviews in a reasonable window. We'll also need you to flag upcoming launches, promotions, or anything time-sensitive so we can plan around it. Outside of that, it's handled. The whole point is that you stop being the bottleneck in your own email marketing.

What if I want to send more than four campaigns in a month?

We can accommodate additional sends — just flag it early so we can plan for it. Additional campaigns outside the four included are quoted separately. If you're consistently sending more than four per month, The Retention Partnership is probably a better fit.

What's the minimum commitment?

Three months. Email marketing compounds — the first month is laying groundwork, the second is building momentum, the third is where you start seeing the full picture. A one-month retainer doesn't give us enough time to do the work properly, and frankly it doesn't give your list enough time to respond to a consistent strategy.

What if I already have the Klaviyo Starter Kit — do I still need this?

The Starter Kit builds your automation foundation — flows that run in the background without you. The Campaign Retainer handles everything that still requires monthly attention: the campaigns, the calendar, the creative. They're designed to work together. A lot of clients do the Starter Kit first, then move into the retainer once the foundation is in place.

What if I already have the Klaviyo Starter Kit — do I still need this?

Yes. After the three-month minimum, the retainer continues month-to-month and can be cancelled with 30 days notice. We'd rather you stay because it's working than feel locked in because of a contract.

What is The Retention Partnership?

It's the most comprehensive way to work with us on email. Everything in The Campaign Retainer — plus SMS campaigns, advanced segmentation, A/B testing, monthly strategy calls, and full customer journey mapping across both email and SMS. We're not just sending campaigns. We're managing your entire lifecycle marketing and retention infrastructure.

What's the difference between this and The Campaign Retainer?

The Campaign Retainer handles your email campaigns — four per month, written, designed, and sent. The Retention Partnership goes deeper. You get more campaigns, SMS layered in, a strategic layer that shapes how customers move through your brand over time, and a monthly call where we actually talk about where your business is going and how email and SMS fits into that. It's the difference between execution and partnership.

What does 4–6 campaigns per month look like in practice?

It depends on your calendar. A quiet month might be four. A launch month, a major promotion, or a seasonal push might call for five or six. We plan the calendar together each month and adjust volume based on what your business actually needs — not a fixed number we hit regardless of whether it makes sense.

What does SMS look like — and do I need a separate platform for it?

We run SMS through Klaviyo, so everything lives in one place alongside your email. The 4–6 SMS campaigns per month are planned to align with your promotions and email calendar — they're not random blasts, they're part of a coordinated strategy. If you don't have SMS set up yet, we handle that as part of onboarding.

What is advanced segmentation and why does it matter?

Basic segmentation means sending to your whole list or a broad group. Advanced segmentation means every send goes to exactly the right people based on their behavior, purchase history, engagement level, location, or a combination of factors. The result is higher open rates, higher conversion, and a list that stays healthy because people are only getting emails that are relevant to them. At this tier, every campaign is segmented before it goes out.

What happens on the monthly strategy call?

We review the previous month's performance, align on the upcoming month's calendar, and talk through anything bigger — upcoming launches, list growth goals, offers you're planning, gaps in your customer journey. It's not a reporting call where we read numbers at you. It's a working session where we make decisions together about where email and SMS are going next.
